Do you know that we have 3 women’s health physios at Bounce Back?

Steph, Brie & Liz are all incredibly passionate about all things relating to women’s health. Our women’s health physios have done additional post graduate training in a number of areas to help address any women’s and pelvic health concerns that you may have.

What does a women’s health physio do?

We can help with all your usual aches and pains that would make you want to see a physio, plus we can help with all things relating to your core, pelvic floor and pelvis. This includes incontinence, pain and pelvic floor strengthening, amongst others. We work with you through major milestones such as pregnancy and the postpartum period treating any pains you may have and helping you recover after delivery so that you are able to do the things you love.

How do I know if I should see a women’s health physio?

If you answer yes to any of the following, reply to this email and one of our women’s health physios will give you a call and have a chat about why you might be experiencing your symptoms and how we might be able to help.

  1. Do you ever leak urine? (even a little bit)

  2. Do you ever feel like you’re unable to completely empty your bladder when you go to the toilet?

  3. Do you have moments of suddenly feeling like you’re busting to go and have to race to the toilet?

  4. Do you ever feel a pressure or a heaviness in your pelvis?

  5. Do you experience constipation?

  6. Do you experience pain with intercourse?

  7. Do you experience any low back or hip pain that keeps popping up or you can’t seem to shake?

  8. Are you currently pregnant?

  9. Have you recently had a baby?

  10. Do you want to return to a certain activity after having a baby but aren’t sure how to go about it?

  11. Have you been told that you have an abdominal separation?

  12. Do you feel like your body is holding you back from doing something you want to do?

  13. Have you heard people talk about the ‘pelvic floor’ or the ‘core’ and ‘pelvic floor exercises/kegals’ but you’re not 100% sure with what that all means, what those muscles are or how you should be using them?

We know that some of these things might feel a bit uncomfortable to talk about, but we assure you that all the things above are common things we see every day. We’re friendly and understanding and we really want to be able to help you put any concerns you have behind you!

Our women’s health treatment rooms are a space of no judgement where there’s no such thing as TMI!
